Ronaldo shares message about commitment and dedication ahead of Europa League clash

Cristiano Ronaldo is back in the Manchester United squad to face FC Sheriff in the Europa League on Thursday night.

The Portuguese forward has appeared to send a message to manager Erik ten Hag that he has learnt his lesson in a new Instagram post. He wrote, alongside a picture of himself training: “Back on track, with the same commitment and dedication as always!”

Ronaldo recently stormed down the tunnel after refusing to come on as a substitute in the 2-0 win over Tottenham. His behaviour resulted in Ten Hag dropping the star for United’s trip to Chelsea last weekend, but the 37-year-old is now back in contention to play.

It is understood that Ronaldo made his desire to leave the club known in the summer, with help from his agent Jorge Mendes, but a lack of interest throughout the transfer window saw him stay at Old Trafford.

That lack of interest may have come as a shock to Ronaldo and Mendes, but they will likely push for a different outcome when the transfer window reopens after the World Cup.

Ronaldo knows better than most that actions speak louder than words.
