Manchester United have sent scouts to Germany to watch Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong three times.
The 21-year-old made a name for himself at Celtic before joining the Bundesliga side in 2021.
Frimpong is a product of Manchester City’s youth academy, but he never made a senior appearance for the club.
There are lot of clubs interested in Jeremie Frimpong. He has been pre-selected for Holland national team, and he scored again in the weekend 🔴👀 #transfers

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano confirmed United’s interest in the youngster after speculation had been growing in recent days.
On his ‘Here We Go’ podcast, Romano said Frimpong could ‘be an opportunity for Man United in January’ which means we can expect more reports over the coming months.
Would Frimpong be a starter at Manchester United?
The right-back would provide competition to Diogo Dalot, who has cemented his place in the Reds’ starting eleven under Erik ten Hag, despite struggling for game time under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who preferred Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Dalot has improved significantly under the Dutch boss and is an exciting prospect for United, given his talent and ability at only 23.
However, young competition could further develop Dalot, especially when considering Luke Shaw’s improvement on the pitch since the arrival of Tyrell Malacia. Certain players thrive when there are alternative options in their positions.
Given United’s involvement in all competitions, as well as the demanding physicality of the Premier League, rotating between the right-backs could help United throughout the season.
