Diogo Dalot ranks third on impressive Premier League record this season

Diogo Dalot has registered the third highest speed of all Premier League players so far this season (35.8km/h).

The 23-year-old ranks third behind Darwin Nunez (36.5 km/h) and Gabriel Martinelli (35.9 km/h).

The Portugal international has impressed this season with his improved defensive stability for United, especially when alongside summer arrival Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane. He has featured in every league game for the Reds so far, contributing one assist and picking up four clean sheets.

Dalot has become Erik ten Hag’s first-choice right-back since the Dutchman took charge, after struggling to cement a place in the team under former managers Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick.

He has reportedly attracted interest from La Liga giants Barcelona, according to Samuel Luckhurst, but is keen to stay in Manchester and extend his contract at the club.

Dalot is likely to receive a call-up to represent Portugal at the World Cup, alongside teammates Bruno Fernandes and Cristiano Ronaldo.
