(Video) Erik Ten Hag reacts to Cristiano Ronaldo’s decision to leave dugout early vs Spurs

Manchester United beat Tottenham Hotspur two-nil in their first Premier League encounter of the season at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.

The Red Devils, led by Dutch manager Erik Ten Hag, were superb from start to finish.

Midfield duo Fred and Bruno Fernandes were arguably United’s best players with the latter scoring a beautiful curling effort in the second half.

However, although United were relentless and put in their best performance of the season so far, one of the game’s biggest talking points will be Cristiano Ronaldo’s decision to storm off down the tunnel before the referee blew for full-time.

Speaking about the Portugal international’s controversial behaviour after the game, Ten Hag, when asked if Ronaldo spoke to him prior to leaving the dugout, said: “I have seen him but I didn’t speak to him.

“I will deal with it tomorrow. Not today.

“We’re celebrating this victory and now we have to recover from this for Saturday [vs Chelsea].”
