Manchester United claimed an important 2-1 victory against Everton.
The Red Devils, who were desperate to get back to domestic winning ways following last weekend’s Manchester Derby thrashing against rivals City, would have been feeling the pressure.
However, after naming a strong starting 11, which included Casemiro making his first Premier League start since his move from Real Madrid, manager Erik ten Hag would have felt confident his side could take all three points away from Merseyside – and they didn’t disappoint.
Despite falling behind early on following a brilliant strike from Alex Iwobi, summer signing and fan-favourite Antony levelled the scoreline by netting his third league goal in as many matches.

Fellow attacker Anthony Martial, who picked up a knock during the warm-up, also started but was forced off after just 29 minutes.
Replaced by Cristiano Ronaldo, who went on to score the 700th club goal of his amazing career, Martial’s untimely injury will undoubtedly serve as disappointing news.
Confirming the France international’s latest injury, ten Hag, who spoke to BT Sport after the game, as quoted by BBC Sport, said: “We have to wait. I can’t diagnose. I don’t think it’s that big a problem. He had an assist for the first goal. I’m happy with that.
“It was a setback for the team but Ronaldo came in and made the winning goal, I’m happy with that.”
