Man City vs Man United: Manchester derby line-ups, team news, predicted XI

Man City welcome Man United to the Etihad Stadium this weekend in another rendition of the storied rivalry between the two sides – we preview the clash with team news and predicted line-ups.

City come into the game in strong form and have top spot in their sights but Pep Guardiola’s side have won just one of their last four home games against United in all competitions. The other three games have been won by United – all of them under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Erik ten Hag’s men are also in fine form, winning four consecutive games in the Premier League and the Dutchman is aiming to equal Solskjaer’s best winning streak by claiming three points on enemy turf.

Team news

Marcus Rashford did not feature in United’s two Europa League games but is still expected to recover from the injury he sustained against Arsenal in time for Sunday’s derby.

Anthony Martial’s fitness is, however, uncertain. The Frenchman has made just one appearance this season – an impressive 45-minute cameo against Liverpool last month.

Victor Lindelof should be welcomed back into the matchday squad after the defender played 90 minutes in Sweden’s 4-1 loss to Serbia last week.

Predicted line-ups

Manchester City (4-3-3): Ederson; Walker, Dias, Stones, Cancelo; Rodri, De Bruyne, Silva; Mahrez, Haaland, Foden
Manchester United (4-2-3-1): De Gea; Dalot, Varane, Martinez, Malacia; McTominay, Eriksen; Antony, Fernandes, Sancho; Rashford
