Round-up: Manchester United players heading on international duty this September

Manchester United will have 15 players representing their countries on international duty from next week.

The first eight fixtures of the season have provided us with five wins and three losses, as Manchester United sit fifth in the Premier League table and second place in Europa League Group E.

We look at which Manchester United players will be representing their nations.

England: Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, Dean Henderson.

Brazil: Antony, Casemiro, Fred, Alex Telles.

Portugal: Cristiano Ronaldo, Diogo Dalot, Bruno Fernandes.

France: Raphael Varane.

Argentina: Lisandro Martinez.

Netherlands: Tyrell Malacia.

Denmark: Christian Eriksen.

Scotland: Scott McTominay.

Tunisia: Hannibal Mejbri.

There will be quite a few players disappointed to have missed out on a call-up this time around, with Jadon Sancho more deserving of a place than other England players, but it’s a chance for them to get a rest before the domestic fixtures return in their numbers.

I just hope they all come back safe and sound without any niggling injuries.
