Manchester United start their Europa League campaign against Real Sociedad on Thursday night and we’re expecting Erik ten Hag to make a lot of changes to his starting line-up.
It’s the Europa League so we shouldn’t be fielding our best eleven in the group stages, unless Ten Hag feels Real Sociedad are the one side in the group stages that we should be cautious of going into the game.
Without further ado, here’s the Stretty News predicted line-up to face La Real at Old Trafford.
Goalkeeper
Martin Dubravka is expected to make his Manchester United debut after joining on loan from Newcastle on deadline day.
Defence
Ten Hag will give a chance to several players who haven’t been starting games this season. If fit, I suspect Aaron Wan-Bissaka will play at right-back with Luke Shaw on the opposite flank. Harry Maguire will captain the side alongside Victor Lindelof.
Midfield
Casemiro is in line for his first start as a United player and he needs minutes on the pitch with his new team-mates. The former Real Madrid midfielder is likely to be joined by Fred and Donny van de Beek should the Dutchman returns from his recent knock.
Attack
In attack, Antony could start again as Ten Hag will want him to get match fitness as soon as possible. We suspect he will be joined by Cristiano Ronaldo and Antony Elanga.
Stretty News predicted XI vs Real Sociedad: Dubvraka; Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, Lindelof, Shaw; Casemiro, Fred; Antony, Van de Beek, Elanga; Ronaldo.
eric baily should start instead of maguire coz captain is to slow in the defence and likes giving backpasses which may result into fouls or even goals
Eric Bailly is on loan at Marseille.
He is already on loan
Now there is really strong competition for places in the squad . This was arguably man u first team last season. Go go go manu for life
There is strong competition for places in the squad now and it is what the squad needed. This was unarguably manu first team last season but now you have to fight for your place expecially when world cup is by the side in few months
Don’t play maguire plzzzz
Better play with 10 men than playing with maguire
