Manchester United complete the signing of Antony from Ajax.
Brazil winger Antony has signed a contract until 2027, with the option of an additional year, following his switch from the Eredivisie.
Erik ten Hag identified his former player as a primary target for United and he will be delighted to see the board deliver on that front.
The transfer was confirmed by @ManUtd on Twitter this morning.

Antony scored 31 goals and registered 27 assists in 134 appearances for Ajax and Sao Paulo, not to mention the two Eredivisie titles he won under Ten Hag in Holland.
Speaking to club media about his move to United, Antony said (via ManUtd.com): “This is an incredible moment in my career to be joining one of the most iconic clubs in the world. I’m thankful to everyone who has believed in me, especially my family, and all my coaches and team-mates, because I could not have got here without them.
“Playing under Erik ten Hag at Ajax was perfect for me and my development. His style of football and coaching brings out the best in me, and I am excited by what he has told me about his plans and ambitions in Manchester.
“My time at Ajax was fantastic and I will always be grateful for the trust they put in me, but now I am ready for the next challenge, and I can’t wait to join my new team-mates and play my part in bringing success to Manchester United.”
Antony joins United’s attack
Antony will give United something different in attack and he’s a player that will lift bums from seats at Old Trafford. His trickery won’t go down well with pundits who are against players expressing themselves on the pitch, but that will likely make him adored amongst the Old Trafford faithful.
Members of the media are always going to try knock our signings. They will be finding ways to do the same with Antony over the coming weeks.
I hope Antony proves his critics (whoever they are) wrong like Lisandro Martinez has done since joining United in the summer.
