Manchester United will be looking to make it three wins in a row when they take on Leicester City at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League on Thursday night.

The Reds go into the game on the back of a 1-0 victory over Southampton at St Mary’s last weekend whilst the hosts were defeated 2-1 by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

New signing Casemiro could be handed his first start in a Red shirt after coming off the bench against Southampton last Saturday. Fellow new boy Tyrell Malacia is also expected to start after impressing in each of the last two league games.

After a disappointing start to the new season it has been refreshing to see the Reds bounce back over the past ten days. A pivotal victory over Liverpool followed by a hard fought out win over Southampton have eased the pressure on new Reds boss Erik ten Hag and in doing so lifted United in the Premier League table and in facing Leicester City on Thursday night it provides the Reds another chance to keep the winning momentum going.

Leicester have endured a miserable start to the new season and currently find themselves sitting rock bottom of the Premier League table. The Foxes have fared well over the past few seasons and have always been in and amongst the battle for a Europa League spot, but this season they look miles off the pace and this is a game United will no doubt fancy their chances of taking all three points from.

Games against Leicester in the past have never been easy and despite a dreadful start I expect this one to be no different. The foxes still have real goal threats in Jamie Vardy, James Maddison and Kelechi Iheanacho and if we can manage to keep them at bay then it would go a long way to stopping Leicester.

It won’t be easy but this is a game which United should win albeit it will be a close affair.

Prediction: Leicester City 1-2 Manchester United
