Manchester United table offer for Eintracht Frankfurt goalkeeper Kevin Trapp

Manchester United have made an offer to sign Eintracht Frankfurt goalkeeper Kevin Trapp this summer, according to reports in Germany.

The Red Devils were always going to sign a goalkeeper after allowing Dean Henderson to go on loan to Nottingham Forest, but with David de Gea’s poor performances at the start of the season, we could see Erik ten Hag chance more than just a back-up option.

Tom Heaton is not something I feel confident in having as second choice keeper and there is no arguing that it’s a big fall from Henderson. That said, can we really afford to let the highest paid goalkeeper in the world to sit on the bench?

Ten Hag will hopefully come to whatever conclusion suits the team best.

It has been claimed that Europa League winner Kevin Trapp is a viable target.

According to Bild, United have already tabled an offer for the Eintracht Frankfurt keeper.

It is unclear how the Bundesliga side have reached to receiving an offer for their number one late in the window, nor do we know how much has been offered.

The 32-year-old has previously played in Ligue 1 with Paris Saint-Germain before returning to Frankfurt in 2019.
