Confirmed Manchester United line-up vs Brentford: Ronaldo starts

Manchester United take on Brentford in the Premier League on Saturday evening and Cristiano Ronaldo starts.

After losing the opening game of the season 2-1 against Brighton & Hove Albion, Erik ten Hag will hope his players bounce back versus Brentford to earn a much needed three points.

Cristiano Ronaldo did not start that match but he returns to the starting line-up today.

David de Gea starts between the posts.

Diogo Dalot and Luke Shaw will both operate at full-back, while we’ve got a pairing of Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez in defence.

It looks like Christian Eriksen and Fred will form a pivot, while Bruno Fernandes pulls the strings in midfield.

Ronaldo had a full week of training and he’s now at full fitness, as far as the manager is concerned.

Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho also start.

Anthony Martial and Victor Lindelof are the only players ruled out with injury.

United beat Brentford 3-1 at the Community Stadium in January earlier this year.
