Hannibal Mejbri set for loan move amid provisional offers from 3 Championship clubs

Hannibal Mejbri is set to leave Manchester United on a season-long loan.

Manchester United send several talented youngsters out on loan every year to get meaningful playing time and it sounds like Hannibal Mejbri is next in line.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Hannibal could leave United on loan in the coming days with lots of interest building around the Tunisia international, who will be looking forward to the World Cup later this season.

The MEN understands that three Championship clubs have made provisional offers to sign the academy star.

Hannibal made three appearances during the pre-season tour and his memorable cameo against Liverpool last season showed everyone that he’s got a fiery streak to his game.

The Red Devils will believe that a loan move would be the best step for Hannibal in his development plan because he is not going to get many first team appearances at United this season. Unfortunately, that is the reality of the situation.

We can only hope he returns a better player in 12-months’ time.

Hannibal has 3 senior appearances for United in his career so far. He will be aiming to impress Ten Hag and his coaches on loan this season.

SN’s verdict…

Mejbri has been tipped for a great future ever since he made the move from AS Monaco and at 19, he’s reaching the age where academy football could do more harm than good.

He’s already had his first taste of senior football after starting the final league game of last season and he’s a regular for the Tunisian national team.

A loan would suit all parties and the Championship is great for developing young players. He doesn’t mind the robustness of English football either, as we have learned by his cameos.
