Julien Laurens claims Rabiot is keen on Manchester United transfer

Reliable football journalist Julien Laurens believes Adrien Rabiot is keen to join Manchester United this summer.

Manchester United fans have been led to believe all summer that Frenkie de Jong was Erik ten Hag’s primary target, but it sounds like he could be off to Chelsea instead.

Then came the stories about Juventus midfielder Rabiot.

With an agreement reportedly in place with Juventus, United need to discuss terms with Rabiot’s mum and agent Veronique.

French journalist Julien Laurens, who works for ESPN, tweeted a fresh update stating that talks are underway: “Adrien Rabiot is keen on joining Manchester United. Discussions with his mum and agent Veronique have started.”

I would not be against such a signing if Rabiot didn’t have such a track record for causing problems at the club’s he played for, along with his mum, who doesn’t hold back in interviews.

The France international doesn’t have a record that would reflect well if United were serious about doing background checks on their targets.

Something has gone amiss with our recruitment this summer and it’s hard to have optimism for the season ahead after losing our first game against Brighton.
