Manchester United identify a midfielder in the Championship as a potential transfer target.

That is according to The United Stand, who claim Bristol City midfielder Alex Scott has been added to Manchester United’s radar by the scouting department.

The 18-year-old was promoted to the first team last summer and it is believed that United have already enquired about Scott’s availability. He became a first team regular and played 39 games – scoring four goals and registering two assists.

Scott won the club’s player of the season award last term, and he has also represented England at youth level.

It is suggested that Leeds United and Tottenham Hotspur previously expressed an interest, so United could have competition for his signature.

This one may be worth keeping an eye out, but the source isn’t the most reliable.
