It was another straightforward afternoon for Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United on tour as they scored three brilliant goals to secure a perfect start to pre-season.

Anthony Martial scored the opener after a neat move involving both of United’s full-backs and Marcus Rashford doubled the lead shortly after the interval.

Jadon Sancho made it three soon after and as we approached the hour-mark, a host of changes ensued as Ten Hag replaced eight players at first.

Young defender Will Fish was one of the players to make their tour bow after being drafted to join the squad following Axel Tuanzebe’s withdrawal. Fish has already made his debut at senior level but he will want to forget about this one quickly.

The 19-year-old failed to clear his lines and ended up taking his counterpart down, resulting in a red card due to denial of a goalscoring opportunity, as seen above.

Ten Hag offered him a sympathetic pat on the back on his way off the pitch and you can’t help but feel sorry for the lad. He’ll hope to get the opportunity to impress in United’s next game against Aston Villa.
