Ronaldo receives mammoth contract offer to leave Man United

Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly received the biggest contract offer in the history of football.

That’s according to a recent report from CNN Portuguesa (confirmed by AS), who claim the Portugal international has been offered an eye-watering €250m over two seasons from an unknown Saudi Arabian club.

The offer, in total, is believed to be worth €300m, with Man United set to bank €30m with the attacker’s agents offered the remaining €20m.

The truly insane figures just go to show how elite Ronaldo really is. He is 37 years old and is still being offered record-breaking contracts.

However, it is unknown whether or not the five-time Ballon d’Or winner will accept at this stage.

It is very unlikely if his main ambition is to play in next season’s Champions League, but even for a player of his stature, turning down over €10m-per month would be a hard decision to make.

United, on the other hand, may secretly be keeping their fingers crossed that their number seven signs on the dotted line. Not only would the Red Devils profit from the transfer fee on the table, but they’d also offload their highest-earning player, who himself is keen on a move away from Old Trafford.

  1. Pogba cost a lot and he never did live up to the price. Dejong is having trouble in an inferior league and Man United want him in the Premier League? Premier League is the toughest league period. Go for a different good midfielder. I want Ronaldo to stay, but if his heart is not in it, get another striker. You need another one anyway.
