Manchester United have yet to sign any players this summer but John Murtough is busy.
Not every United fan is patient and there is a growing group of supporters on social media becoming increasingly frustrated at the current situation. They see United’s rivals in the Premier League strengthen, but at their own club it seems much slower.

It’s far from ideal that the new manager is being wait for his targets, but I’m sure Ten Hag will be over the moon if United can complete a deal for Frenkie de Jong, which shouldn’t be a problem because all parties are moving towards an agreement as things stand.
Fans will want more once a transfer for De Jong is complete. That is inevitable.
With that, the latest update from reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano makes for interesting reading – but we remain none the wiser on who will be actually following De Jong to Old Trafford ahead of next season.
In his latest column for Caught Offside, Romano wrote: “The club is active on multiple deals, including discussions with Ajax on Timber, Lisandro Martinez (but Arsenal are also working for the Argentine centre-back) and Antony.”
United aim to make a breakthrough in talks for De Jong this week and there is a growing confidence that it will happen before Thursday.
Jurrien Timber and Lisandro Martinez are two extremely versatile centre-backs, while Antony would offer United a presence on the right wing — something we haven’t had in many years.
