‘Interesting timing’ – Manchester United fans react to latest De Jong update

Manchester United fans have been reacting to the latest news on Frenkie de Jong.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Manchester United are set to make an improved bid for the Barcelona midfielder.

The first offer was believed to be worth €60m (£51.64m) but the Catalan club are holding out for more money to aid their financial crisis.

Fans have been sharing their frustrations at the latest development on De Jong – becoming impatient because the deal is really dragging on — but one would think a second bid is imminent. Just in time to collide with the Glazer’s favourite dividend day.

I don’t blame them because we’ve seen incompetence at board level for years, especially when it comes to the transfer window.

Scroll down for some of the reactions we’ve highlighted from the latest update on De Jong.

  1. I think these stories got to stop! Everyday ManU these, ManU that. Who heard when City were bargaining for Halaand? All we heard was a deal. Why can’t United bring out fund & buy their targets or do we wants the players for free?!!!

    1. It’s not United putting out all the crap about this & that player, it’s the media owners, you don’t see stories about City deals as reporting City news don’t creat revenue for the Medea outlets or nowhere near the readership as you get with stories about United!!
