Manchester United will listen to £20m offers for out-of-favour Anthony Martial

Manchester United are willing to sell Anthony Martial at a cut price this summer, according to reports.

Neil Custis of The Sun claims United are having a nightmare trying to find a buyer for Anthony Martial due to his salary, but the Red Devils are ready to accept a big hit on the amount they paid for him as offers of around £20 million will be heard.

Martial earns £240,000-a-week and has two years left on that deal which means United will need to agree a pay-off to get him out of Old Trafford. We shouldn’t forget how desperate he was to leave on loan in January – only for Sevilla to regret taking him in the first place.

Next on the agenda for the Frenchman is pre-season training at Carrington on Monday. He will either get a chance to impress new manager Erik ten Hag or maybe it has already been decided that he won’t be part of the squad next season.

Martial, 26, should be hitting his peak years but it doesn’t click into place whenever he gets minutes on the pitch. It’s like he is completely drained of the spark he had as a promising prospect bursting onto the scene in his debut against Liverpool.

Remarkable scenes.

The story is set to have a sad ending.
