Manchester United captain Harry Maguire congratulated Matt Fitzpatrick following his US Open triumph over the weekend.

It was Fitzpatrick’s first major title as a 27-year-old after holding off the challenge of Will Zalatoris and Scottie Scheffler to win by a single shot.

Maguire is currently on holiday ahead of the new football season and it was soaking in all the golf action over the weekend.

The England international took to Twitter to congratulate Fitzpatrick on his victory.
