Man United preparing £43m offer for Ajax attacker

Manchester United are reportedly preparing to make Ajax an offer for winger Antony.

That’s according to journalist Ekrem Konur, who has claimed the Red Devils are set to offer the Dutch champions £43m (€50m) for the exciting Brazilian attacker.

United, now managed by former Ajax manager Erik ten Hag, will undoubtedly be looking to bring in at least one new attacker.

Anthony Martial, who spent the second half of last season out on loan with Sevilla, looks destined to leave Old Trafford in the near future.

Anthony Martial didn’t enjoy the best of loan spells last season.

Elsewhere, Mason Greenwood is still suspended indefinitely and with Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho both struggling for form, it goes without saying that a new, energised wide-attacker would be a much-needed summer addition for the 20-time league winners.

Since joining Ajax from Sao Paulo in 2020, Antony, 22, has gone on to feature in 79 matches, in all competitions, directly contributing to 42 goals along the way.

The South American, who helped fire Ajax to their 36th Eredivisie title last season, currently has three years left on his deal.
