Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans has opened up on his future amid rumours linking him with a move to Arsenal and Manchester United.

The Belgium international joined the Foxes in 2019 and has since become one of the most respected midfield players in the Premier League.

Tielemans was named Leicester’s Player and Players’ Player of the Year last season when the club lifted it’s first FA Cup and finished fifth in the league.

This season, however, was a disappointment for Leicester City as they slipped to 8th in the league.

With a year left on his contract at the King Power Stadium, The Mirror claims Arsenal and United are still interested in Tielemans.

In a recent interview the 25-year-old opened the door to a summer transfer by admitting a move away from Leicester is not out of the question.

When asked if he could move on before the start of next season, Tielemans said (as quoted by the Metro): “That is not out of the question.

“I feel very good at Leicester, I was welcomed with open arms from day one. I give everything for the club until the last day.

“But of course you have to listen to other opportunities, you have to look at your career, and sometimes you have to make choices. Maybe one will come my way.”

While Tielemans would not be at the top of my list for midfielders to sign, he would be an improvement on a number of players in the squad.

The Belgian could be one of United’s fall back options if another midfield target doesn’t come.
