Alejandro Garnacho is enjoying a rapid rise to stardom at Manchester United, having helped the club’s U18 side to their first FA Youth Cup in 11 years earlier this season.
His efforts for the academy side earned him a call-up to the senior Argentina side earlier this year before making his Premier League debut for United against Chelsea.
Garnacho was called up to the Argentina U20 squad for the Toulon Tournament and the South American side won their first two games against Panama and Saudi Arabia. A far more difficult prospect was awaiting them, however, with group-topping France presenting themselves as the final hurdle.
France took a convincing 5-0 lead against Argentina but Garnacho made sure to leave his mark on the game, scoring a sublime free-kick to make it 5-1, as seen below.

Garnacho will be hoping to impress new manager Erik ten Hag this summer, with this month’s late internationals meaning that several senior figures will not take part in pre-season until the middle of July.
That could offer Garnacho and other youngsters a chance to leave a lasting impression on the incoming manager, who will be assessing his squad for the first time when pre-season begins on June 27.
