Earlier on Wednesday, Paul Pogba confirmed that he would be leaving Manchester United upon the expiry of his contract at the end of this month, making it the second time he leaves on a free transfer in a decade.
The 29-year-old broke the news on his social channels, insisting it has been a ‘privilege’ to have represented Manchester United over the last six years.
Despite his minuscule contributions since his record-breaking return in 2016, the club have paid tribute to the France international with a farewell video of his best highlights, as seen below.
Now, he is believed to be closing in on a return to Juventus as his ill-advised stint at Old Trafford finally comes to an end. Most fans will be relieved to see the back of him.
He joins Nemanja Matic in leaving the club this summer, which leaves a gaping hole in United’s midfield. Barcelona star Frenkie de Jong has been heavily linked with a move whilst a shock move for Chelsea’s N’Golo Kanté has also been rumoured.
