Manchester United have confirmed that they will play their final pre-season game against Atletico Madrid.
The Red Devils faced Atletico Madrid in the Champions League earlier this season but failed to reach the quarter-finals after Diego Simeone’s side came out on top over two legs.
However, a pre-season fixture has been arranged in Oslo, Norway on July 30.
Speaking about the game, John Murtough said (via The Athletic): “Pre-season is such an important part of the squad’s preparations for the season ahead.
“Our players and coaching staff will be relishing the opportunity to play against such a high calibre opponent in Atletico Madrid, as well as the chance to perform in front of a full stadium of passionate Norwegian fans.”
The Premier League campaign is set to start from 6 August, 2022.
