Cristiano Ronaldo missed Manchester United’s final Premier League game of the season against Crystal Palace due to hip flexor injury.

According to The Athletic, this is not the first time this season that this issue has kept the Portuguese star out of action.

For Erik ten Hag at least, this gives the new manager something to think about for next season, when we hope United will be less reliant on the 37-year-old striker.

Unsurprisingly, United lost the game 1-0 and suffered another defeat in Ronaldo’s absence.

The Red Devils were not able to win a single game in the 2021/22 season without Ronaldo (since his return). He also ended the season as United’s top scorer with 18 goals in the Premier League.

Can you imagine where United would’ve finished without Ronaldo’s influence?
