Anthony Martial injuries continue as Sevilla clinch UCL spot

Sevilla earned a 1-1 draw away at Atletico Madrid after coming from behind, with the point confirming their top four spot in La Liga.

Unfortunately for Anthony Martial, the Manchester United loanee missed the last game of the season due to an injury, and it doesn’t look like the Frenchman will remain at the Spanish club beyond this season.

We don’t know yet if he will be staying at United there is no guarantee that he will get regular game time under Erik ten Hag. That will ultimately come down to the Dutchman’s plans for his new team next season.

Spanish newspaper AS ran a headline over the weekend calling Martial a ‘disaster’, which titled a critical piece on the forward’s disappointing loan spell.

It states: “Sevilla’s French striker is injured again and is absent against Atletico: it is the third time since he arrived in January. His signing is revealed to be a disaster.”

Martial had only returned from injury a week ago to face Mallorca, but some muscle discomfort led to him pulling out of the big game against Atleti.

After scoring one goal in 12 games, I can’t argue too much with AS calling Martial’s short stint a disaster.

Is he going to set the record straight next season or should United try cash in on the Frenchman this summer?
