Manchester United U18s will be hoping to win the FA Youth Cup on a Wednesday with a final against Nottingham Forest set to be held at Old Trafford. It sounds like a few of the senior players will be watching and maybe even from the stadium.
Bruno Fernandes, Juan Mata and David de Gea have all sent messages of support to the U18 squad as they prepare for the eagerly awaited final.
The kids will play in front of approximately 70,000 fans, with a further 5,000 expected to follow Nottingham Forest on their travels. Tickets were priced at £1, with the proceeds going towards the Manchester United Foundation, and we are sure it will be a great night for all involved in a record attendance for a youth team match.
I’m sure the team will be nervous ahead of kick-off, but Fernandes took to Twitter on Wednesday morning to wish them all the best of luck, knowing that the stakes are high.
Fernandes wrote: “Good luck to the youth team at Old Trafford tonight. It’s amazing to have a big crowd there to support them which will be a very good experience for our young players.”

It will be a night they’ll never forget – and hopefully for all the right reasons.
De Gea also tweeted: “Let’s go.”
