Erik ten Hag wants to give opportunity to Brandon Williams next season

Brandon Williams is set to return to Manchester United having made 33 appearances for Norwich City in all competitions this season.

The left-back was part of a double loan signing with Chelsea playmaker Billy Gilmour, but the pair have been unable to stop the Canaries from dropping straight back into the Championship.

Stretty News understands that there are fears over the full-backs currently at the club and whether they are good enough to meet Erik ten Hag’s demands next season. That could see one of the younger full-backs, sat on the fringes of the squad, handed an opportunity next season.

Furthermore, The Transfer Exchange Show claims that Ten Hag is a big fan of Williams and wants to give him a chance to take the left-back spot. The tweet also states that Ten Hag rates Luke Shaw but has not been impressed by his recent attitude.

I will welcome the return of Williams because you know that you will get total commitment from him every time he plays. That could be crucial when Ten Hag is asking his new players to buy into his preferred style of football.

Williams needs to improve parts of his game but he likes to get down the line and attack.
