Djed Spence has been one of the top performers at Nottingham Forest this season.

On loan from his parent club Middlesbrough, the 21-year-old full-back is already attracting interest from Europe’s biggest clubs, but he is said to be a Manchester United fan.

This should send alarm bells off at Old Trafford because the squad is lacking quality at full-back, hence why Brandon Williams has an opportunity to get games next season when he returns from Norwich City.

Spence is not the only youngster on loan to impress at Nottingham Forest this season. United starlet James Garner has been terrific in the Championship, with a number of standout appearances against top opposition in the FA Cup.

Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg claims Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester City and Bayern Munich are among the clubs interested in the full-back.

However, Spence dreams of playing for United one day.

Spence could move for a fee between €12-15m this summer. He was linked with a move to United three weeks ago, as per The Mirror, but it remains to be seen if Erik ten Hag will have the funds to strengthen at full-back.

It doesn’t sound like it would be an expensive deal to pull off.
