Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay held no punches in his assessment of his side’s 3-1 defeat to Arsenal on Saturday, with the Scotland international admitting there are a host of issues.
It wasn’t quite as bad as the hideous display at Anfield just days prior but United were still comfortably dealt with by Arsenal, who raced six points clear of the Reds with the win. United’s season is now all but over, with the club set for yet another season outside the Champions League.
McTominay’s post-match comments were honest and struck a chord with supporters, and pundit Gary Neville has now given his reaction to the midfielder’s remarks.
The McTominay comments yesterday
“ problems with players , staff , higher up and everything “
whilst not something we didn’t know tells you how bad it must be for a player to say it on air.
