Firstly, I think Manchester United should be looking at more than three new signings in the summer. We will have a new manager and he will want his squad to adapt to his preferred playing style as soon as possible.
It goes without saying that there will be a number of players in the squad that won’t suit the next manager. That is probably the biggest reason why leading candidate Erik ten Hag wants 100% involvement on transfers.
Sky Sports and other outlets, including ourselves at Stretty News, will be trying to find out who United want to sign in the summer. We’ve already seen reports on Harry Kane, Declan Rice, Kalvin Phillips, Arnaut Danjuma and Darwin Nunez.
However, this morning on Sky Sports News, respected journalist David Ornstein was asked to select three signings he’d recommend at United. The Athletic reporter tipped the following:
- Lautaro Martinez (Inter Milan)
- Aurelien Tchouameni (AS Monaco)
- Matthijs de Ligt (Juventus)
If you could make 3 new signings to United, to transform the squad…

United should be looking to sign at least two midfielders this summer, especially with Paul Pogba set to leave on a free when his contract expires.
Let us know in the comments section who you would like United to sign in the summer.
