Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s Manchester United future in doubt

Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka could be transfer listed this summer.

TEAMtalk claim one of Ralf Rangnick’s first moves in his advisory role will be to move on Wan-Bissaka, who United signed in a deal worth £50m from Crystal Palace in 2019.

Wan-Bissaka lost his place in the team to Diogo Dalot following Rangnick’s arrival but the German has brought him back into the fold in recent weeks, though I don’t think anyone would be surprised if he was one of the players axed this summer.

United loanee Ethan Laird, currently on loan at Bournemouth, is expected to return next season and I don’t think there is room for three right-backs.

The Daily Star reported last month that Dalot is set to get a new contract extension, which only adds more doubt to Wan-Bissaka’s future at the club.

Rangnick has started Dalot in 10 matches since becoming interim manager. When you compare that to Wan-Bissaka’s four starts under the German, you can tell he a preferred option but things can change quickly in football.
