Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is cherished by Manchester United fans for his time at the club as a player and manager, but these days he is rooting for his daughter Karna after watching her debut for the women’s team on Sunday.
In fact, Ole and Karna have made history in becoming the first father and daughter duo to play for Manchester United.
The 19-year-old made her debut for United’s women’s side in the 2-0 FA Cup fourth round win over Bridgewater United. An own goal and a strike from Ella Toone proved enough to send United into the next round.
It was great seeing Karna make her senior debut for the women’s team and the fans gave her a fantastic reception as she took to the field. Solskjaer was also in attendance so he would’ve enjoyed hearing his chant which is an old favourite here at Stretty News.

“You are my Solskjaer, my only Solskjaer,
You make me happy, when skies are grey,
“Oh Alan Shearer, was f**king dearer,
“So please don’t take, my Solskjaer away…”
The same chant was sung about her father as a player.
Karna replaced Ivan Fuso late in the second half to get her first senior appearance after impressing in the U21s this term – scoring 13 goals in 12 games – and her mum and dad soaked in the action from the stands.
