Manchester United enter race to sign 21 y/o Argentine forward

Are you a young talented forward playing professional football? Well, if the answer is yes, there is a good chance you will see your name in the headlines with Manchester United reportedly interested.

The same is happening right now with Erling Haaland, Dusan Vlahovic and now Julian Alvarez.

And whilst Haaland has become Europe’s most wanted centre-forward, Vlahovic is tearing it up in Serie A, and interest in Alvarez seems pretty new.

The River Plate forward has time to think about his future with the Argentine Primera Division season over, so it will be interesting to see if any clubs make a move for the Argentina international in January.

He could be the young replacement for Edinson Cavani that we need because the Uruguayan’s departure is an inevitability next month or in the summer.

According to Argentine newspaper Ole, United are one of an array of clubs tracking Alvarez.

The report claims: ‘Several giants… have already shown some interest in signing him: in addition to Juventus, Milan, Inter, Bayer Leverkusen and Barcelona… in recent weeks calls were added from Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid.’

In his previous season for River Plate, Alvarez scored 18 goals and provided nine assists in 21 league games.

Alvarez’s current contract at River Plate only runs until December 2022.
