The Professor is finally at Old Trafford.
Manchester United announced the appointment of Ralf Rangnick as interim manager on Monday, with the German moving to a consultancy role at the end of the season on a 2-year contract.
The reactions to the news have been positive with an array of fans excited to see some gegenpressing at Old Trafford. It’s time to say goodbye to ‘Ole Ball’ and hopefully the players can adapt quickly enough to Rangnick’s preferred style of football to salvage our season to make it a success.
There are so many different tactical philosophies in football and they are constantly evolving, with coaches forced to innovate in order to find the ultimate winning formula.
What do we think of it? I’m delighted to see a coach of this level come in for the remainder of the season, then to move upstairs where he can have the biggest impact.
Hopefully he can help improve our players and develop the team into a successful unit.
The reaction on Twitter was positive, like I said above, but considering we are 8th in the Premier League, it’s only a matter of time before it gets serious again.
Welcome to the Greatest Football Club in the World Ralf Rangnick.

Among the German coaches he embodies the typical english football manager like no other. Red Bull appreciated his ability to accomplish professional and successful structures. All the things ManU needs so badly. Not Real, Barca or PSG but football expertise.

Really excited about the consultancy role aspect. Hopefully he helps to get us proper structure, recruitment in players, staff and coaching. As well development of the academy too! Can’t place too much expectation on the remainder of season though, top would be hard to secure tbh
