Manchester United captain Harry Maguire has endured a miserable start to the season and last weekend’s defeat to Tottenham has piled the pressure on the under-fire defender.
Maguire was directly at fault for a number of goals against Liverpool, with the encounter against Leicester the previous week still fresh in the memory.
The 28-year-old was one of this summer’s European Championship’s success stories but he has failed to replicate that form for Manchester United, with the Old Trafford club in free fall domestically.

Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane was particularly scathing in his assessment of Harry Maguire’s interview earlier this week, where he addressed the supporters following the embarrassing loss to Liverpool.
Maguire was soft-spoken when he broke his silence, something Keane was less than satisfied with. He is, however, in the side against as they face Tottenham this evening.
