Confirmed Manchester United XI vs Everton – Cavani and Martial start

Manchester United are getting through some games but are still a misfiring proposition meaning Everton, below them only on goal difference, could fancy their chance of handing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side another home defeat in the Premier League.

Solskjaer has named his starting eleven to face Everton…

Aaron Wan-Bissaka returns having served the first of a two-game European suspension in midweek.

The same goes for Luke Shaw, although the left-back has recovered not only from a knock but illness too.

Mason Greenwood, Anthony Martial and Edinson Cavani all start in attack.

It’s a strong bench with Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho and Paul Pogba.

Full line-up below:

It’s never an easy tie against Everton and Rafa Benitez will be pushing his players to be up for this occasion. The Spaniard is also certain to get a reception of sorts from the Old Trafford faithful – with his “fact” rant living long in the memory from his time at Liverpool.

At least they are without Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Seamus Coleman and Richarlison.

Andre Gomes has also been ruled out of contention.
