This is the Strettycast, a podcast dedicated to Manchester United, hosted by Dale O’Donnell who is joined by former academy graduate Daniel Nardiello.
Another downbeat episode after a poor result losing 1-0 at home to Aston Villa. One again, a team wearing Claret and Blue came to Old Trafford to pull off a smash-and-grab win. This time we dropped three points – not just a place in the Carabao Cup.
The next visitors will be Villarreal and we all still have memories from that night in Gdansk. They don’t play for draws but have drawn five of their first six matches in La Liga. While they would love to come and get a point, a draw wouldn’t be enough for United after losing their first UEFA Champions League game of the season away to Young Boys.
It must be a win at Old Trafford tonight or else there will be serious questions asked of the manager. He has come through sticky situations before and we make sure not to overreacted on the podcast in an attempt to keep things real with perspective.
