Manchester United duo set to return from injury after international break

Manchester United are hoping that Marcus Rashford and Amad will be available for selection after the international break.

Solskjaer has provided an injury update on the pair to give fans an idea of when they could be set to return.

“They’re still a few weeks away so, hopefully after the international break, they could be available,” Solskjaer told ManUtd.com.

“They’re working hard, both of them positive, and it’s been a long, long time for Marcus of course. Probably the longest he’s been out but he’s needed it. He looks raring to go, happy and he knows he’s missed out on pre-season.

“But he’s done loads of good conditioning work and should be ready soon.”

It was decided that Rashford would undergo an operation to solve his shoulder problem before the season begun and he’s been in rehabilitation ever since, so it will be a huge boost for the team to have him back on the left flank.

The forward has took part in light training at Carrington for a few weeks and it should all start coming together once he is mixed with his teammates. However, Rashford must consult a doctor on Friday who will then decide if he can return to full training.

Amad has been recovering from a muscle injury that prevented him from making a late move in the transfer window after Dutch side Feyenoord showed an interest in signing the winger on loan.

Sadly with United out of the Carabao Cup, Amad’s game time is going to be extremely limited after Jadon Sancho was overlooked against Aston Villa at the weekend.
