(Video) Late drama in London as De Gea denies Noble penalty as Red Devils snatch 2-1 win

Sunday afternoon’s Premier League tie between West Ham United and Manchester United has been filled with drama.

After falling behind in the first half only to draw level 10-minutes later thanks to a Cristiano Ronaldo equaliser, midfielder Jesse Lingard was introduced in the second half.

Despite turning out for the Hammers last season, the Englishman came up with the goods and sunk his old club’s hopes of taking all three points after a sublime curled effort fired the Red Devils into a late lead.

Seemingly within touching distance of snatching all three points, United gifted West Ham the chance to take a point after a very late spot-kick was awarded following a handball from full-back Luke Shaw.

David Moyes then opted to introduce veteran Mark Noble specifically to take his side’s penalty kick but not before David de Gea leapt to his side’s rescue ensuring the Red Devils won the game 2-1.

Remarkable.
