Confirmed Manchester United XI vs West Ham – McTominay returns

Manchester United return to domestic action with a trip to West Ham in the Premier League and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has named his starting eleven to face the Hammers.

The Reds suffered a defeat in the opening game of their Champions League campaign against Swiss side Young Boys on Tuesday night, so now the attention turns to bouncing back with three points on the road in the league.

West Ham have had less days to rest after playing away to Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia in the Europa League on Thursday night, which should help our lads put on a display that we know they are capable of – even if the midfield battle is likely to worry most fans.

David Moyes’ talisman Michail Antonio has been ruled out through suspension as he’s already got four goals to his name this term.

United XI: De Gea – Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Maguire, Shaw – Fred, McTominay – Greenwood, Bruno, Pogba – Ronaldo.

It’s great to see Scott McTominay back in the line-up after returning from injury. Alongside Fred we should see plenty of energy in midfield and they’ll need it against West Ham.

United also have plenty of options from the bench: Heaton, Bailly, Dalot, Lingard, Mata, Matic, Van de Beek, Martial, Sancho.
