Ole Gunnar Solskjaer rules out Manchester United forward ahead of West Ham clash

After this week’s disappointing turnout in Switzerland, Manchester United are back in action this weekend as they try to continue their promising start to the Premier League.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his side were runaway favourites to win the game against Young Boys earlier this week but mitigating circumstances ultimately put it beyond their reach.

Instead, United have zero points after the first round of fixtures in the Champions League and the focus remains on the Premier League, where they have 10 points from a possible 12.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has given an early press conference and the Norwegian manager confirmed that Edinson Cavani will not feature in the game as he steps up his recovery from a problem sustained in training. “Edinson hopefully will start training with us after the weekend. Hopefully, maybe Monday,” he told reporters, according to the official Manchester United website.

Amad Diallo and Marcus Rashford remain on the sidelines for Manchester United whilst Dean Henderson and Phil Jones are nearing returns to the first team. Both players have featured for youth sides in recent weeks.
