Buzzing. It’s the only word I can use to describe how I feel after seeing Manchester United announce Cristiano Ronaldo’s shock return.
Just 24 hours ago it looked like Man City was his next destination but a call from Sir Alex Ferguson this morning helped turn his head, and now and number of ex-players have jumped to social media to rejoice, including Rio Ferdinand and Rafael Da Silva.
Both players knew Ronaldo as a teammate during his at Old Trafford and it’s going to be a fantastic experience for the current crop to play in the same team as a complete athlete.
Da Silva tweeted: “The king is back home.”
The king is back home 😁

While the news left a smug smile across Rio’s face, as seen in the video below:

Man City fans will be gutted by the news because many thought they were about to sign one of the biggest names in football – to answer their problems up front after losing Sergio Aguero earlier this summer.
Gary Neville took the opportunity to make fun out of a recent column written by fellow Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher:

Even Bruno Fernandes got in on the act, now calling himself a football agent for his work in the deal:
‘Agent Bruno’? 💼 😂
