Sancho will ‘certainly’ start vs Wolves, Cavani to be named on the bench

Manchester United star Jadon Sancho could be set to make his first start for the club this weekend as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer aims to return to winning ways after last week’s 1-1 draw with Southampton.

The Premier League curtain-raiser against Leeds two weeks ago saw an enthralling fixture played out at Old Trafford but Solskjaer’s men failed to replicate the performance on the trip to St. Mary’s eight days later.

Sancho, who joined the club earlier this summer after a two-year-long pursuit, has yet to start a game and has been limited to substitute appearances in both games so far.

Manchester Evening News journalist Samuel Luckhurst has given some insight into the situation, as he reveals that Jadon Sancho will ‘certainly’ start against Wolves in a questions and answers session.

He also mentions that there is a ‘decent chance’ Varane starts the encounter and that Edinson Cavani will make a return to the squad on the bench. The Uruguay international is yet to feature after an extended break following his involvement in Copa America.

Manchester United travel to Wolves this weekend and will face Bruno Lage’s side on Sunday.
