Kylian Mbappe named as Manchester United transfer target for 2022

Unlike Man City fans right now, waiting impatiently on Harry Kane to sign, we don’t need to worry about scoring goals this season.

Anthony Martial will be out to prove his critics wrong, those who say he’s not good enough for United, and Edinson Cavani has a year to become a star in front of a full Stretford End.

I haven’t seen many 19-year-olds lead the line like Mason Greenwood did last week, and as a result I think Cavani has his work cut out for him to get back into the side when he’s fully fit.

However, there will be people at Old Trafford thinking a year down the line. When Cavani’s contract expires.

This would leave just Greenwood and Martial as recognised centre-forwards.

According to ESPN, United are building for the future and plan to sign a centre-forward in 2022. The report claims PSG’s Kylian Mbappe is a potential target.

The French star is out of contract next summer and has yet to make a decision over his future.

Do you think United will be in the race to sign Mbappe next summer?
