It’s now down to Manchester United to announce the signing of Raphael Varane now that the hold-up has been resolved, according to reports.
The question is will we hear something from the club before kick-off in this afternoon’s Premier League opener against Leeds United?
Raphael Varane is not in the squad as he has not trained with his new team-mates yet, though Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is believed to be keen to get him involved as soon as he can.
The manager put the delay down to coronavirus restrictions after Varane had to quarantine after arriving in the UK.
And that was before the former Real Madrid defender could undergo a medical in order to complete his transfer to Old Trafford.

Perhaps the club will go old school and reveal him to the Stretford End before kick-off? That would be amazing.
