Manchester United are not in the race to sign wantaway Premier League star Harry Kane, according to journalist and transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano.
The 28-year-old, who recently celebrated his birthday after helping England to their first European Championship final, was absent from Tottenham training earlier on Monday.
Romano confirmed, via his own YouTube channel, that Kane’s failure to show up was not due to COVID – it was a ‘personal’ decision from the player and his camp.
Manchester United, among other clubs, have been linked with a move for Harry Kane this summer but Romano has now confirmed that the Old Trafford hierarchy are not in the race to sign the current Premier League golden boot holder.
Previously, it has been reported that plans to heavily invest in a striker this summer are ‘already in place’, with the club hoping that Erling Haaland and Kane are still on the market in 12 months.
