Man United set to loan attacker but have exciting preference for starlet

Despite enjoying an impressive pre-season so far, young Manchester United attacker Facundo Pellistri is set for a second loan spell.

That’s according to a recent report from Eurosport, who claims the teenage South American could be heading for a second loan in as many seasons.

After joining United on deadline day during the 2020 summer transfer window, Pellistri, who was originally introduced to the club’s youth side, was then allowed to join Spanish side CD Alaves on a short-term loan in January.

Having gone on to feature in 12 matches, in all competitions, Pellistri impressed before rejoining the Red Devils’ senior first-team ahead of the new 2021-22 season.

Despite putting in an impressive performance against Wayne Rooney’s Derby County last week, although many fans may want to see the youngster in the squad for next season, Eurosport believes the Red Devils would rather the youngster go out on loan again.

Interestingly though, although CD Alaves have been credited with having interest again this summer, it has been noted that the club’s recruitment team would prefer to see Pellistri join a higher-ranked La Liga side.

Should Eurosports’ most recent report prove accurate, the Red Devils desire to see the attacker play for better opposition just goes to show how highly he is regarded among the club’s decision-makers.
